Bisoprolol is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Bisoprolol is in a class of medications called beta blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate to improve and decrease blood pressure.

Uses

BISORACE 2.5 is prescribed for the following conditions:

  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): It is FDA-approved for managing high blood pressure and helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems associated with this condition.: Angina Pectoris (Chest Pain): It is used to prevent chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle (ischemic heart disease).
  • Heart Failure: Bisoprolol is part of guideline-directed medical therapy for stable chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and is recommended to reduce mortality and hospitalizations in these patients.:

Important Considerations

Please keep the following points in mind while using BISORACE 2.5:

  • Do Not Stop Abruptly: Abruptly stopping bisoprolol, especially in patients with coronary artery disease, can cause serious problems such as worsened chest pain (angina), heart attack, or irregular heart rhythms. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dosag: Breathing Problems: Use with caution in patients with asthma, COPD, or other breathing disorders, as it can cause airway muscle tightening (bronchospasm).
