Teneligliptin 20 mg is an oral anti-diabetic medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, in addition to diet and exercise. It is a Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that helps control blood sugar levels by increasing insulin release and reducing excess sugar production by the liver.

Uses

TELNICARE 20 is prescribed for the following conditions:

  • Blood Sugar Control: It helps lower both fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels by increasing insulin release from the pancreas and reducing the hormones (glucagon) that raise blood sugar.: Combination Therapy: It can be used as a standalone treatment (monotherapy) or, more commonly, in combination with other antidiabetic medicines such as metformin, sulfonylureas, thiazolidinediones, or even insulin, to improve overall glycemic control.
  • Prevention of Complications: By consistently managing blood sugar levels, it helps reduce the risk of long-term diabetes-related complications, including kidney damage (nephropathy), nerve damage (neuropathy), and eye damage (retinopathy).: Renal Impairment: It is considered a safe option for patients with kidney problems, as it does not typically require dose adjustments in cases of mild to severe renal impairment.
