Uses

MONTICARE LC is prescribed for the following conditions:

  • Allergic Rhinitis (hay fever), including seasonal and perennial allergies (year-round), which cause symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and itchy/watery eyes.: Allergic Asthma and rhinitis that occur together, helping to reduce inflammation in the airways and improve breathing.
  • Chronic Urticaria (hives) to alleviate itching, redness, and swelling.:

Important Considerations

Please keep the following points in mind while using MONTICARE LC:

  • This medication is not meant for the relief of acute asthma attacks; an appropriate rescue inhaler should be used for that purpose.: Patients should inform their doctor about any existing kidney or liver issues, as dose adjustments may be necessary.
  • Montelukast has a rare risk of serious mental health side effects, including agitation, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Patients experiencing any such symptoms should contact their doctor immediately.: Use during breastfeeding is generally not recommended as the drug may pass into breast milk.
